Momentum Mental Health Awards

While the struggle with mental health issues can often be lonely, the path to improving mental health services and removing the stigma should be a team effort.

The 2019 Momentum Mental Health Awards are a celebration of Edmonton’s mental health community, recognizing individuals and organizations who have championed mental health initiatives within the city.

When: Thursday, May 9, 2019 from 11AM-1PM

Why Nominate?

Momentum Walk-in Counselling’s 2nd annual Mental Health Awards provide a unique opportunity to recognize the individuals and organizations taking significant steps to address mental health. Your participation is an integral part in strengthening Edmonton’s mental health community.

Application Process

Before submitting a nomination, please consider the following:

Q: Can I submit nominations for multiple categories, or multiple nominations for a single category?

A: You may submit for multiple categories, but you may only submit one entry for each award category.

Q: Can multiple people nominate the same individual/organization within the same category?

A: Yes, a nominee may be nominated by multiple people within the same category.

Q: Are event sponsors eligible to apply?

A: Yes, event sponsors are eligible to apply.

Q: Is there a cost to nominate individuals/organizations?

A: No, there is no cost to nominate yourself or others.

Q: Is there an age restriction for any of the individual award nominations?

A: No, aside from the Young Leader Award, there are no age restrictions.

Q: Will my application answers save on the website?

A: Unfortunately, no. We recommend saving your application on a separate document so that you can submit your entire application at once.

Nominees must:

  • Reside or be operating in Edmonton and the surrounding area
  • Meet the nomination requirements
  • Have applications submitted to Momentum by 11:59PM MST on Friday, March 29, 2019.

The 2019 Momentum Mental Health Awards Recipients will be selected by an independent panel of judges at the beginning of April, 2019.
